A massive massive thank you to Christina for all her support over the last 3 years!! I really wouldn't have been as organised, calm and happy without the support and encouragement she provided. I really appreciate her patience and kindness, above and beyond my expectation of a mentor. So proud of my 2:1 in Physical Geography and she helped me get there!

Christina was incredibly helpful and easy to work with - our sessions built up my confidence and alleviated some pressure in the lead up to deadlines, which I find difficult to cope with. Feeling truly listened to and receiving practical support based on this understanding was invaluable, especially as I often struggle to be heard and supported by education faculty and medical professionals. During AS levels, my teacher said, “someone like [me]”, neurodivergent with Dyslexia, Specific Learning Difficulties, and mental/physical health conditions, was incapable of achieving anything greater than passing my A Levels. Unfortunately, such disparaging rhetoric is widely echoed to persons with disabilities. This, combined with requests for accommodation being equated with weakness, and the predominant supportive measures attuned to neurotypical needs proving inadequate, fomented a belief that fast-tracking myself towards burnout to meet neurotypical standards was the only option. Christina showed me it does not have to be this way and instilled a newfound outlook that, when listened to, I can be supported and thrive. I have graduated from Durham University with a First-Class Honours degree in Business and Management – a far cry from what I was previously told I could achieve. Thank you for everything Christina!

I studied Geography at The Open University. Christina is a wonderful person to work with, her passion for ensuring every student reaches their full potential shines through. Christina was very understanding of my neurodiverse needs and helped me to plan and organise my time, enabling me to develop my academic writing and analytical thinking. Christina ensured the sessions were structured with breaks, allowing me to reflect and providing a safe space when I needed to vent about my studies. I can not thank Christina enough for the support she provided me through my OU journey, with her support I obtained what seemed to be an impossible dream, a First Class Honors in Geography.

Christina was wonderful to work with - she kept me calm and grounded with her plans and calendars even in the depth of stress - I am extremely grateful! I also particularly appreciated her own knowledge of my subject as she had studied theology herself which made for really constructive discussions. I believe that was only coincidence but it made a huge difference for me as speaking my ideas out loud was really important and helpful!

Neurodiverse Access Programme. Working with Hannah and Christina has been an absolute pleasure the last 3 years. Their dedication and commitment to the students who enrol on the programme is demonstrated by the excellent feedback we receive every year from students. The fact that the programme has also worked in different scenarios in the light of Covid is a compliment in itself to Hannah and Christina.
The programme has been instrumental in providing much needed guidance and support for Neurodiverse students coming into University in what can be a highly stressful and difficult time for them. It provides them with much needed skills and knowledge to help them succeed at University.
